Hiring Jan Fix Design Group to help us with design suggestions on our kitchen and master bathroom remodeling projects was the best thing we did. She was very knowledgeable about trends in design which helped us to pick colors, features, and look at styles we might never have noticed ourselves. But most importantly, she helped us to understand the functionality of the space we were renovating. Her contributions on work flow in the kitchen, adequate lighting in the laundry room, and options for maximizing space in the bathroom were all essential for us to achieve the objectives of our renovation.
While we had hired an architect and general contractor prior to engaging Jan's services, she was able to step in and seamlessly work with the other members of the team to get us a spectacular finished project. Jan is able to provide as much or as little support as needed on the project and we appreciated her flexibility to address issues that came up during the project.
Jan Fix Design Group does excellent work in helping you design a living space that fits your needs, she's attentive, and very easy to work with. We will work with them again in the future and would definitely recommend hiring them for your design project.

I built a large and complex custom home that required hundreds of decisions that had to be made on a very tight time schedule. This would have been extremely overwhelming if Jan Fix was not involved in the project. Jan has a remarkable gift in that she is creative but also very disciplined, a rare combination. Jan not only has excellent taste and helped with choices in color, trim profiles, granite counter tops, flooring, faux painting, exterior materials and the like, but she also kept the project on schedule. After living in our home for 8 years and having done no interior decorating during that time, my husband and I decided it was time to spruce things up a bit. We didn't want to go too crazy with remodeling projects but wanted to change wall colors and carpet colors. However, we knew that our decorating ideas were pretty far apart from each other. Jan was very accommodating with our busy schedules as far as meeting with us. She always came to us very prepared and with great ideas and was able to get us to feel comfortable using colors that were outside of our comfort zone. There was no pressure on her part but we are so glad she opened the color palette for us beyond the basic beiges and off whites. We are still commenting how beautiful our rooms are as we walk through them. When guests come to our home, there are always compliments on the excellent choices of colors used on our walls and how great the colors flow from one room to the next. Jan also kept the project moving at a nice pace from start to finish so we never felt that the house would never be done.

Jan Fix helped us with many aspects of the interior design of our new home. She guided us through the many complicated choices during construction, from the size and style of the woodwork and trim, to the placement and number of light fixtures and outlets. When we were overwhelmed with options, she was able to recognize this, take our ideas and limit the selections for us. She is very knowledgeable, organized, professional and easy to work with. One of the ways that she makes the process easier for the client is her ability to problem-solve. She worked well with our subcontractors, and also was able to take charge of dealing with vendors, checking on orders, setting up deliveries and making sure things went smoothly.
